Pastor Jimmy J. Mosby is a native of Hazen, Arkansas. Graduated from Hazen High School (1969), graduated from Philander Smith College with a BA in Elementary Education (1973)~ graduated from the University of Arkansas - at Fayetteville with a Masters degree in Public School Administration (l985)~ received a Certificate of Ordination to the Gospel ministry from Mount Pleasant Baptist Church (2000), graduated from Memphis Theological Seminary with a Masters degree in Divinity (2007).Completed license to preach school in the United Methodist Church (2008). Associate Pastor of Wesley Chapel J Associate Chaplain of Philander Smith College Campus Ministry (2007 - 2009).
Married to the former Lorraine L.Peyton of Carlisle, Arkansas, in 1972. They are the proud parents of three adult children, Jonathan Ryan (Shaily), Cherith Audrea (Kevin) and Jimmy Kyle and five grandchildren.
Pastor Jimmy is a retired Educator/Administrator from the.Little Rock School District where he served 30 years plus. (Henderson Junior High School, Pulaski Heights Junior High School, Dunbar Junior High School, Hall High School, Southwest Middle School, and Central High School).
Recently, completed a U BOM requirements to become fully connected in the United Methodist Church (June, 2012). He is currently working toward his certification in Christian Education.
His hobbies include Reading, Sports, Music, Cooking, and Gardening.
His Motto is: "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me".
